SOFTBALL COED ACTION SERVES UP BOMBS

National Guard softballers bombed the Department of Health 19-9 in softball co-ed action Tuesday night while Postal blasted the Internal Revenue Bureau/ Human Services team 13-3.
Gail Joseph got the victory for the National Guard in a game full of hits and errors. National Guard had 18 hits but committed eight errors. Health had seven hits but committed 14 errors.
For Health, Jasper Lettsome was perfect at the plate in two appearances. The National Guard was led by Alford Richards and Kareem Henley’s three-for-four performances. Hank Warner hit a solo home run in the first to start the hitting barrage for the winners.
The win improves the National Guard's record to 5-1 as Health drops to 5-3.
In the final game of the night, Postal beat the taxes out of Internal Revenue Bureau/ Human Services. Postal scored seven runs in the bottom of the second inning. This caused Internal Revenue Bureau/ Human Services pitcher Bruce Charleswell to walk of the mound in disgust at the end of the inning.
Austin "Tempo" Thomas hit a two-run home run in the top of the sixth inning. However, Postal hit five consecutive singles to score three runs to end the game with the ten-run mercy rule. Liston George won the game for Postal as Charlewell got the loss.
