Sen. Roosevelt David, Tuesday, said road conditions in the territory must be corrected before a fatal accident occurs as a result of roadside growth and pot holes.
In a press release from his office David said he doesn't see lack of funding as the problem since the Public Works Department has failed to use available federal funds. David said the problem is ineffective management and lack of creativity.
David called for bold steps to be taken to cut back the bush and repair road surfaces before the next natural disaster, accusing Public Works of not planning properly for Hurricane Jose.
David is vice-chairman of the Legislature's Committee on Government Operations.
