June 2, 2008 – Ameena Ali of Tamarind Estate died on Sunday, June 1, at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital. She was 73 years old.
She is survived by her spouse, Rahamut Ali; children: Jinnah, Inshan, Razia, Haroon, Shiraz and Sadia; grandchildren: Imitaz, Imran, Yaasimyn, Reanna, Rasheed, Waheeda, Ameena, Chavez, Shakira, Nabala, Jinnah Jr. and Khaleed; and great-grandchildren: Jaheem, Jasmin, Jashiba, Jashanti and Riaz. She is also survived by sisters: Haji Ramon Ali, Habib Ali; sister-in-law, Hajin Zahora Ali; aunts: Ashmeed, Shazad, Fayad, Mubarak, Affrose, Feroza, Shiraz and Sisters; and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A memorial service will be held from 6-10 p.m., on Monday, June 2, at No. 152 Tamarind Estate.
A funeral service will take place at 1 p.m., on Tuesday, June 3, at the Al-Siddique Abu-Baker Mosque. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
