Feb. 27, 2008 – The Virgin Islands Audubon Society's annual plant sale will be held from 9 a.m. to noon, on Saturday, March 8, in the Frank Powell Sr. Park in Cruz Bay. The sale will offer a wide variety of plants from local gardens such as croton, bromeliads, palms, agaves, ground covers and other garden favorites. There will also be orchids, T-shirts, caps and tote bags for sale.
The money raised will help the Society fund activities including the care, maintenance, and improvements to Small Pond at Frank Bay, a designated wildlife sanctuary, and to help further their youth education programs.
Anyone interested in donating plants for this event can bring them on Saturday morning of March 8, to the park in Cruz Bay. For further information, contact Jean Cottrell at 776-6090.
