Melvin Bibian Warner Dies at 71

Dec. 20, 2007 – Melvin Bibian Warner, also known as "Magua," of Marley Homes died on Dec. 12, at his residence.
He is survived by his companion, Rita Daniel; son, Melvin Warner Jr., granddaughter, Shamonica Warner; adopted daughters: Natasha Johnson, Chastidy Petersen, Nyra Rodgers, Nyisha Francis, Reniqua Johnson, Quashira McIntosh, Makayla and M'Lakah George; and adopted sons: Kimiko Wilkinson, Kendell Henry, Kwami Eastman and Franklin Johnson Jr. He is also survived by sisters: Asta Warner Lang, Maude Akins and Melsadis Cornelius Scotland; brothers: Anselmo Ballantine, Lloyd and Milton Clarke; special uncle, Gene Jackson; uncles: Jean and Fredo Jackson; as well as many others relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m., on Friday, Dec. 21, at St. Paul's Anglican Church. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., at the church, and interment will be at Frederiksted Cemetery.
