Lucina R.Sutton Dies at 80

Lucina R.Sutton, better known as “Lue,” of Anna’s Retreat died on March 26 at Schneider Regional Medical Center. She was 80 years old.

She is survived by her daughter, Joslyn Liburd; son, Patrick Hanley; adopted daughter, Maureen Williams; stepdaughter, Beverly Duberry; stepsons: Leroy, Bernard and Alexander Sutton; daughter-in-law, Thecla Teck Hanley; son-in-law, Herman Liburd; brothers: Ervin, Lanston and Alphonse Knight; and sisters-in-law: Vivian Belle, Olive Knight, Shirley Claxton and Verna and Elaine. She is also survived by grandchildren: Hitoshi Hanley, Azur-Dee Martin and Malika Milliner; great-granddaughter, Hayden Hanley; nieces: Amber and Revena Knight, Jackie and Michelle Claxton, Debra Brown-Varela, Colleen Burton and Carolyn Belle-Hodge; nephews: Bob, Bernard and Bert Belle, and Lanston Jr. and Kenneth Knight; Paul, Stephen and Kenneth Claxton; and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 7, at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church. Interment will be at Western Cemetery.
All funeral arrangements are by Davis Funeral Home, 774-1464.
