Missing 19-Year-Old Found Dead; Homicide Suspected

Eston Farrel's body was discovered by police Saturday in an abandoned house.Eston Farrel, the St. Croix 19-year-old who was reported missing Saturday by his parents, was found dead by police; homicide is suspected.
Farrel, known to friends as “E-Money,” was reported missing by his parents at 8:17 a.m. Saturday. His parents told police he had not been seen since the previous day. He was last seen in the Estate Golden Rock and Water Gut areas of Christiansted.
About an hour after his parents filed the report, police found his burned vehicle in the Estate Diamond area. A check of the surrounding area revealed an abandoned house, where police found Farrel’s body.
Police are considering this death a homicide—the 35th in the territory in 2010 and the 17th on St. Croix.
Police said the medical examiner will determine the cause of death in the official report.
