Free Flu Vaccine Outreach Will Still Operate on Oct. 15

The free, flu vaccine outreach scheduled for Oct. 8 at Tutu Park Mall on St. Thomas and Plaza Extra East on St. Croix has been postponed until further notice due to weather conditions, according to a press release from the Virgin Islands Department of Health.
Weather conditions had also forced government offices territorywide to close; therefore, all clinics were canceled.
“We regret any inconvenience to residents,” DOH Commissioner Julia Sheen said. “We expect clinic services to resume on Tuesday, Oct. 12,and once the free, flu vaccine outreach has been rescheduled, we will alert the community.”
DOH is still on schedule for the outreach scheduled for Oct. 15, on St. Croix and St. John. The schedule is as follows:
On October 15
· 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Plaza Extra West St, Croix.
· 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Coral Bay Fire Station, St. John.
