The Office of Disaster Recovery (ODR) has released its third solicitation since March 2024, seeking highly skilled licensed contractors to provide construction services for 48 single-family owner-occupied residential structures on St. Croix, St. Thomas and St. John.

The procurement released on Aug. 19 brings the total number of homes distributed for bids to 103, facilitating the completion of permanent repairs to residential structures damaged by Hurricanes Irma and Maria.

Interested contractors must attend the virtual pre-bid conference at 2 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 22, and participate in mandatory site visits scheduled for Aug. 27-29.  The solicitation and meeting information is available on the Office of Disaster Recovery’s website at https://www.usviodr.com/procurement.

Additionally, the office issued a continued interest survey, requesting that EnVIsion Tomorrow applicants update their files to ensure the program has the most current contact and demographic information. The survey supplements the Office of Disaster Recovery’s ongoing efforts to expedite the processing and prioritization of applications.

Director Adrienne L. Williams-Octalien urges all applicants who received the letter and survey to submit the form if they have not done so already. “We need to identify displaced or disabled individuals or those living in dire conditions to prioritize assistance,” said Office of Disaster Recovery Director Williams-Octalien. “We recognize our community’s unique and significant challenges and remain committed to completing repairs to all eligible homes.”

Forms can still be submitted by email or mail or by visiting our offices on St. Croix or St. Thomas. The survey and accompanying letter can be found on the Office of Disaster Recovery’s website in English and Spanish. To access those documents and for more information on how to submit the form, visit https://www.usviodr.com/envision-tomorrow-applicant-update-form/.

Note: the application period is closed. If there are any questions, contact the program’s staff at 1 (866) 520-1310 or email envisioninfo@usvipfa.com.
