The Department of Public Works advises the public of a temporary road closure to facilitate road repairs along Store Kongens Gade in Cruz Bay, St. John.
DPW contractor Island Roads Corp. will commence road repairs on Thursday, June 25 and continue through Friday, June 26. To minimize disruptions for motorists and residents, construction activities will take place overnight from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. each day.
Motorists are advised to use Prindsens Gade as an alternate route during the road repairs. To facilitate traffic flow and provide access out of the work area, Prindsens Gade, which normally carries westbound traffic toward the St. John Ferry Terminal, will operate as a oneway roadway during evening work hours for the duration of the project.
Motorists are urged to follow all posted traffic signs and directions from traffic control personnel.
