"Providing Quality Customer Service" workshop
The UVI Small Business Development Center is pleased to present a "Providing Quality Customer Service" workshop on September 20 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the SBDC Training Facility in the Nisky Center. Saturday Academies for science awareness
The Division of Science and Mathematics is sponsoring science awareness Saturday Academies for junior high and high school students on St. Thomas and St. Croix. The Saturday Academies will take place on one Saturday each month from September through May. The application deadline is Friday, Sept. 14. Applications are available through school counselors, science or mathematics teachers or by calling 693-1232.
UVI workshop – "Safe &Healthy Drinking Water"
The UVI, Cooperative Extension Service will hold a free workshop entitled the "Wetlands of the Virgin Islands" at:
– 6 p.m. Sept. 10, Room 133 UVI Research & Extension Building St. Croix.
– 6 p.m Sept. 19, Conference Room, 2nd Floor, UVI Sports & Fitness Center St. Thomas.
– 6 p.m. Sept. 20 UVI Cooperative Extension Service office, upstairs in the old Joe's Discount Building, Cruz Bay St. John.

JOHN LEDEE FUNERAL SERVICES

John Ledee, 69, passed away at home, Contant #42 on Sept. 9. His funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 14, at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Viewing will precede the sevice beginning at 7:30 a.m.
He is survived by his sons Adelbert and Ashton; daughters Dolena Ledee and Ernsel Brown; brother Joseph Ledee; sister Agnes Ledee; and 17 grandchildren.
