"Providing Quality Customer Service" workshop
The UVI Small Business Development Center is pleased to present a "Providing Quality Customer Service" workshop on September 20 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the SBDC Training Facility in the Nisky Center. Saturday Academies for science awareness
The Division of Science and Mathematics is sponsoring science awareness Saturday Academies for junior high and high school students on St. Thomas and St. Croix. The Saturday Academies will take place on one Saturday each month from September through May. The application deadline is Friday, Sept. 14. Applications are available through school counselors, science or mathematics teachers or by calling 693-1232.

The UVI, Cooperative Extension Service will hold a free workshop entitled the "Wetlands of the Virgin Islands" at:

John Ledee, 69, passed away at home, Contant #42 on Sept. 9. His funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 14, at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Viewing will precede the sevice beginning at 7:30 a.m.
He is survived by his sons Adelbert and Ashton; daughters Dolena Ledee and Ernsel Brown; brother Joseph Ledee; sister Agnes Ledee; and 17 grandchildren.

USO VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
The USO needs donations of water, salads, food, beer and paper products to accommodate the servicemen who will visit the island later this month. Please contact Mr. Frank Farmer at 776-1884 if you can help.
