Coki Cleanup Removes 600 Pounds of Debris from Ocean

A crew of 16 volunteers dove at Coki Beach on Saturday. Their goal – to remove debris from the ocean. Covering a quarter mile, the crew retrieved 601 pounds of rubbish.

Volunteers Sought for Large-Scale Mangrove Cleanups on Each Island

A large-scale community cleanup of the St. Thomas East End Reserve is now expanding to include Salt River, St. Croix and Coral Bay, St. John and seeks community-minded volunteers on each island.

Community Kicks Off Rock City Clean Streets

Rock City Clean Streets kicked off this week’s community cleanup on Tuesday and hopes to attract more volunteers as the weekend edges closer, finishing with a seven-day tidying effort of frequented communal spaces next Monday.

Op-Ed: 1,000 Cleanups Won’t Deter the Littering Population in the USVI

For three years, I’ve been amazed and inspired by the number of residents leading cleanups on St. Thomas, St. Croix, St. John, and even the oft forgotten historic district of Hassel Island. I was extremely happy to see the Department of Tourism encouraging residents to assist in collecting trash throughout the territory.
