Magnitude 6.5 Quake Kills One in Puerto Rico *USVI Update*

A severe earthquake registering a 6.5 on the Richter scale, struck Puerto Rico at 3:24 a.m. Tuesday, damaging homes, blocking roads, causing landslides and causing at least one fatality. VITEMA reported there was no tsunami threat.

Live Nativity Scene Brightens Christmas Season in Kingshill

High on a hill in the late afternoon sunlight, people gathered for a service that celebrated the Christmas season. A live nativity brought smiles as both children and adults participated Sunday at St. Croix Reformed Church in Kingshill.

The iconic St. Croix hook bracelet, known worldwide, has been a staple of St. Croix jewelry for many years and continues to be. Sonya Hough and her husband, David, opened the Christiansted store in 1964, but that doesn't mean anything has changed.

4-H Holds Christmas Ornament Festival at UVI on STX

Kids had an afternoon of fun and when it was over, they had something to bring home and trim the tree with, as 4-H ambassadors held a Christmas Ornament Festival for families at the UVI Extension Center on St. Croix.

The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas, Reopens

The Ritz-Carlton reopened on Nov. 23 following a $100 million renovation at the Great Bay location on St. Thomas.

Ancient Footprints – Lots of Archeology Happening on St. Croix

National Park Service archaeologist Meredith Hardy and technician Amelia Jansen shared some of the most recent finds at the Christiansted National Historic Site at an open house last week.
