PISTARCKLE OPENS AT CORAL WORLD

Pistarckle Theater is here again — at least for one night. The venerable theater group is presenting three plays preceded by dinner starting at 6:30 p.m. , curtain at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27 at the newly re-opened Coral World Restaurant and Amphitheater in Smith Bay.
This will be the second directing role for actress Trudy Tucker who debuted her directing talents last fall at the same locale when the theater put on its first performance after being silent since leaving their Frenchman's Reef stage. At that time they performed three plays which is what is slated for this dinner theater performance.
"Angels in America" by Tony Kushner will lead off the trio, followed by "A Woman Alone," by Pulitzer Prize winners Franca Rame and Dario Fo. This is described as raucous comedy about an Italian housewife. Concluding the evening is "Andre's Mother" by well known playwright Terrence McNally.
Accompanying the event will be a silent auction with a variety of prizes ranging from sailing excursions to fine jewelry, all donated by local merchants.
Tickets can be purchased over the phone by credit card at the number listed below or at the following locations: East End Secretarial Services at Red Hook, Bumpa's Sandwich Shop on the Waterfront, Elegant Jewelry shop on Raadets Gade off Main Street, Pennysaver Printing at Tillett Garden, or St. Thomas Communication in Crown Bay.
