CARNIVAL MILE DRAWS 158 RUNNERS TO MAIN STREET

Juniors ruled the St. Thomas Association of Road Runners Carnival Mile. The male overall winner was Lawrence Lockhart and the female overall winner was Evelise Gomez. Both came from the 13-to-19-year-old category.
The Annual race sponsored by Gatorade always draws a big crowd. The Carnival Mile is a charity fund raiser. The Red Cross was the beneficiary this year.
Dale Joseph was doubly rewarded. He won the 30 to 39 male bracket and members from his track team at Charlotte Amalie High School won the 13 to 19 class as well. As seems to be the norm, this year Antilles School students also finished in the top three in the 13 to 19 class.

30 to 39

Female- Marsha Walker
Male- Greg Johnson
50 and up
Female- Thyra Hammond
Male- Teddy Seymour
Special Senior Awards
Female- Joy Boyd
Male- Jean Braure
