POLLUTION CONFERENCE AT PALMS COURT HARBORVIEW

"Water," the word on everyone's lips these days with WAPA's current travails, will be discussed throughly at the fifth annual Virgin Islands nonpoint pollution conference to be held from 9 a.m. through 4:45 p.m. at Palms Court Harbor View hotel May 19 and 20.
Director of the Virgin Islands Coastal Zone Management Program Paul Thomas will moderate the opening session, with other experts in the fields of conservation and water resources to follow.
Other features of this year's conference include a poster presentation and product exhibit area, and a student poster contest. On Thursday a field trip to a salt pond will be highlighted.
The conference is open to the public for a registration fee of $10 per day. For further information contact Leo Preston at VI resource and development council, at 692-9632.
