A moderate earth tremor felt throughout the Virgin Islands Thursday afternoon registered 4.1 on the Richter scale, according to geologists at the University of Puerto Rico.
The quake occurred shortly before 2:30 p.m. Its epicenter was estimated to be 28 miles north of Tortola. No damage or injury was reported.
