DA DA TO SHOW ARTS, CRAFTS, PHOTOGRAPHY

Aug. 27, 2002 – The public gets to judge a young people's group showing of art and craft work as well as view the photography of a St. Thomas camera artist at Friday's Da Da Wine Down at Café Amici in downtown Charlotte Amalie.
Young artists and artisans ages 9 to 18 from the Nisky Arts and Crafts Center will be presenting their creative output to be judged by Da Da attendees. And Theresa Depka will be showing photographs with flowers, skies, weather and animals as subject matter. Depka, who considers herself a "hobbyist/photographer," was bitten by the shutter bug in the early 1980s and is self taught.
Da Da Wine Down, held from 5 to 8 p.m. on the last Friday of each month at Café Amici in Riise's Alley, showcases local artwork and features an optional fine wine tasting and seminar. On Friday, Bellows International will present the seminar and tasting of wines from Jekel Setver Bon Terra.
Admission to Da Da Wine Down is free and the public is invited. There will be complimentary hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar and door prizes at the end of the evening that include dining certificates, wine and art. There is a $10 fee for the wine tasting and seminar. For further information, call Café Amici at 776-5670.
