UVI BULLETIN BOARD

Aug. 30, 2002 — The University of the Virgin Islands Bulletin Board issued today includes:

St. Thomas Theater Fans Have One More Opportunity
to See "For Better, For Worse" at the Reichhold Center

St. Thomas theater fans have one more opportunity to catch a performance of the popular comedy "For Better, For Worse."
An additional public performance of David Edgecombe's popular play has been scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 1, at UVI's Reichhold Center for the Arts. The performance is in addition to an already scheduled special presentation for UVI students, faculty and staff planned for Saturday, Aug. 31. In fact, the Sunday presentation was added because student tickets for Saturday have sold out.
Show time both nights is 7:30 p.m. Saturday's presentation will be limited to UVI students, faculty and staff. The Sunday show will be available to the general public, as well as UVI students, faculty and staff. Tickets are free for UVI students, $8 for UVI faculty and staff, and $10 for the general public. Tickets are available in advance at the Reichhold Center box office and at the door on the night of the performance. For details call the Reichhold box office at 693-1559.
Edgecombe's play pokes fun at middle-class hypocrisies in a Caribbean society. It enjoyed an extended run this past summer, playing to enthusiastic crowds at the UVI Little Theatre on the St. Thomas campus over six weekends.
Following this weekend's Reichhold Center productions, the play will move to St. Croix, where it will be presented at the Educational Complex on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 7 and 8. Show time there is 8 p.m. Tickets on St. Croix are $15 for adults and $8 for students. They are available at the UVI Bookstore on the St. Croix campus, and at Sam Goody's in the Sunny Isle Shopping Center and John E's Gallery in Christiansted.
