AFTERNOON ON THE GREEN 2003 WINNERS ANNOUNCED

March 28, 2003 – In announcing the winners of the Afternoon on the Green food competition, the University of the Virgin Islands extended a grateful "thank you" to all who contributed cooked dishes to Afternoon on the Green, making this year's "Inaugural Kallaloo" a huge success. UVI also thanked everyone who came out to the event on March 9 at the golf course on UVI''s St. Thomas campus.
This year, for the first time, patrons had the opportunity to judge the various dishes. Judging was based on appearance, taste and creativity, and was conducted in memory of former Afternoon on the Green judge, the late Kirk Grybowski.
UVI''s Afternoon on the Green 2003 was sponsored by the West Indian Company Ltd., Coca Cola, Bellow''s International, West Indies Corporation, St. Thomas Dairies, Paradise Bottling, Knight Quality Stations, UVI''s Alumni Association, Pearl Boynes and Raul Carrillo.
