May 22, 2003 – STARfest9, which had two performances May 10 and 11 then skipped last weekend, concludes its four-show run with performances Saturday and Sunday at the Reichhold Center for the Arts.
This year's production features a cast of 40 ranging in age from 8 to 38. It's filled with the singing, dancing, comedy and high-tech production appeal that STARfest fans have come to expect — plus the addition for the first time of modeling segments.
This is definitely family entertainment, and the Reichhold Center — whose director, David Edgecombe, has produced all of the STARfests from the start — has put together some special packages for the weekend's shows.
Single tickets are $25 in the covered, cushioned section and $18 and $10 in the open-air seating. While supplies last, anyone purchasing at least two such tickets will get a free STARfest T-shirt.
For groups of children and adults, here are the deals, one price covering all, in the open-air sections:
– Family of two or three members, with one child: $25 in the lower zone, $13 in the upper tiers.
– Family of four to five members, with two children: $30 lower, $22 upper.
– Family of six or more members, with four children: $40 lower, $25 upper.
Tickets may be purchased online at the Reichhold Center box office Web site. They also are being sold at the Reichhold box office, the UVI bookstore in the Sports and Fitness Center, both Modern Music stores, Parrot Fish Music, and Krystal and Gifts Galore. Or you can order them using a major charge card by calling the box office at 693-1559.
