ALPHONSO FRANKLIN RENOMINATED TO WAPA BOARD

June 30, 2003 – Gov. Charles W. Turnbull has renominated Alphonso Franklin to a second three-year term on the Water and Power Authority board.
A release issued by Government House on Monday stated that Franklin, a Crucian, is a graduate of St. Patrick's Commercial School and an Army veteran. He is president of Our Town Frederiksted and the St. Patrick's Church Council and previously served on the Juan F. Luis Hospital board. He also has been active in the American Red Cross and the American Legion's Berkley Bromley Post.
The nine-member WAPA board comprises three government representatives and six members who may not be government employhees. The nomination requires Senate confirmation.
