20-YEAR VISITORS WILL VISIT NO MORE

Dear Source,
Mac, you hit the nail on the head (in Mac Cawley's Beautiful St. Croix has a tourism edge – if only …).
I sure hope the powers-that-be are smart enough to listen. Do away with welfare and go for workfare. There is plenty of trash to be cleaned up and lots to be mowed.
For 20 years we have come for 2 weeks in the summer until 2002. When we were there in 2001 had a windshield broken out, and could not enjoy our stay on the West End for all the people just hanging around on the streets. Over the last 10 years it just kept getting worse every year we came. I understand the cruise ships will not even come anymore. Such a shame and a waste.
