Dec. 17, 2003 — The stakes will definitely be high in February and March when Divi Carina Bay Casino will host both the Binion’s World Series of Poker and Bellagio’s World Poker Tour.
The casino is scheduled to host the Binion’s event Feb. 4-6, while the Bellagio tournament is slated for March 10-12.
According to the casino’s press release, both events will qualify the winners of the St. Croix tournaments for separate championship events in April 2004 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The winner of the Binion’s event will receive a $10,000 entry seat at the World Series of Poker, while the Bellagio’s winner will receive a $2,500 entry seat into a satellite tournament to qualify for the championship event.
The winners of both St. Croix events will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to their respective championship events in Las Vegas.
Divi Carina Bay Casino is located on the east end of the island.
