Feb. 10, 2004 – What better way to celebrate Valentine's Day than by renewing your marriage vows in a ceremony on Saturday?
With the St. John's event fast becoming a tradition, St. Croix will for the first time this year hold a similar ceremony.
Join Capt. John Macy, better known as "Big Beard," on the beach in front of the Beachside Café in Frederiksted for the 6 p.m. ceremony.
"I thought I'd do it for peace and love and all that," he said.
Macy, a nondenominational minister, said that since he often performs weddings, this was a natural extension of his job.
The event is sponsored by the St. Croix Business Guild.
