Roy E. Hodge Sr., 82, Leaves Four Generations

Aug. 28, 2004 – Roy Ellington Hodge Sr. died Aug. 24 at the age of 82 at his residence.
Better known as "Flunkie," he was born on St. Thomas and was employed as a contractor and retired from the V.I. Public Works Department. He owned his construction company and farms and was a baseball player and instructor. He was a World War II veteran and member of the American Legion.
Viewing will be from 8 to 9:15 a.m. Sept. 2 at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel, with funeral services following at 10 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral. Burial will be in Western Cemetery No. 3.
He is survived by sons, Rivo, Ray and Rudolph Hodge; daughters, Angela Sheen, Laura Chesterfield, Linda Huyghue, Loretta Brathwaite, Jacqueline Hodge, Brenda Lockhart, Bridgette Hodge and Bernadette Hodge; brothers, Geraldo Hodge and Keith Schneider; sisters, Edris Hodge Brathwaite, Helen Hodge Fleming and Audrey Gory; 62 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Arangements are by the Davis Funeral Home.
