News Brief: Drue Appointed Acting Attorney General

July 27, 2005 – Gov. Charles W. Turnbull has appointed Kerry E. Drue to be acting attorney general. Drue had been appointed to the position temporarily after Attorney General Alva A. Swan died unexpectedly earlier this month, just before Turnbull left the territory.
In a release from Government House Wednesday night, Turnbull said Drue will have the powers and duties of the attorney general, along with the salary and other amenities associated with the position.
