High Fuel Prices Start at the Pump

Dear Source:
March 13, 2006 – I fully agree with R. Greenough's opinion that the Government could do more about fuel prices.
From my contacts with service stations in the states, I have learned that their mark up is from five to eleven cents per gallon. Eight cents, as used in Mr. Greenough's computation, is right in line.
Instead of constantly blaming high fuel prices on the wholesalers and shipping cost, our Government should take a hard look at price gouging at the pumps.
