VIBF Will Have Basketball Summer Camps

June 6, 2006 – The Virgin Islands Basketball Federation will have a basketball camp this summer. The camp will be organized by Community In Unity Inc. and is sponsored by the law Enforcement Planning Commission. The "Gimme the Rock" camp begins on June 26 and runs through June 30, at the Tim Duncan Arena, St. Croix Educational Complex.
On St. Thomas the camp will be held at the Bertha B. Boschulte Middle School from July 3 through July 7.
Both camps are free and include lunch. They are open to the first 100 girls and boys between the ages of 12 and 17 who sign up. In addition to clinics for the improvement of basketball skills, presentations will be made on life skills. Registration forms can be obtained from the Office of Sen. Usie Richards and the Election System Offices on both St. Croix and St. Thomas or at the Legal Services office on St. Croix. Parents will be responsible for drop-off and pick-up of participants.
