Cornelius B. Prior Jr. Honored at 2006 Fulbright Awards Dinner

June 15, 2006 — Cornelius B. Prior Jr., Chairman of Atlantic Tele-Network Inc., was honored at the United Nations on May 17 at Metro International's Fulbright Awards Dinner, receiving the "Fulbright Award for International Development."
The dinner honors those who, in the spirit of the late Senator J. William Fulbright, have furthered peace through international understanding, a release from the organization said. Prior was honored as a former Fulbright Scholar to Brazil for his lifelong commitment to business development which contributes to the betterment of societies.
The award presented to Prior said: "You have made significant and lasting contributions to the economic health and strength of less-developed nations, from Asian countries to the islands of the Caribbean. Your generous contributions to higher education and to public service exemplify the brightest goals of the Fulbright vision."
