Nigel O. Hodge Foundation at CFVI Donates Wheelchair

June 15, 2006 – The Nigel O. Hodge Foundation Fund at the Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands donated a $2,325 multi-functional wheelchair to a young woman with multiple disabilities, according to a press release from CFVI's president, Dee Baecher-Brown.
"This special needs stroller will help the 15 year old recipient get around a lot more comfortably and safely," explained the Fund donor, Josephine Hodge.
Since its establishment in 1996, the Nigel O. Hodge Fund has provided information, support, and financial assistance to children afflicted with cancer and critical illnesses in the Virgin Islands and the Caribbean.
Donations to the Nigel O. Hodge Fund will provide additional resources to help children with cancer and other critical illnesses in the Virgin Islands and the Caribbean. The funds are used to provide support for medical treatment and transportation for treatment not available in the U.S.V.I.
