Sept. 1, 2006 – The Day Adult Education Center is presently having registration for those 16 years and older, both returning and new students. The course offerings include basic classes in English, mathematics, science and social studies, job preparation/typing, pre-GED and GED test preparation, and ESL (English as a Second Language).
Interested persons may register for classes Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the offices located at Commandant Gade. A valid photo identification and a money order or bank draft in the amount of $70 is required for the registration process. Payments are to be made out to the V.I. Government-Department of Education.
"The Center's mission is to equip students with the necessary skills to progress and succeed in a highly competitive environment and operates on the premise that opportunities abound for everyone and that no one is ever too old to learn," said Dahlia Adams, principal of the Center.
