UVI-SBDC Plans Three Financial Management Seminars

Oct. 21, 2006 – The UVI Small Business Development Center, in collaboration with FirstBank, presents the Fall Financial Management Seminars: Personal Credit, Monday, Oct. 30; Personal Money Management, Wednesday, Nov. 8; and How to Get Out of Debt, Monday, Nov. 13.
These seminars are scheduled from 6-8 p.m., at the UVI-SBDC Training Facility on St. Thomas. The presenter will be Karen Sprauve, assistant vice president of Community Reinvestment Officer. There is a fee for admission. Pre-register and you receive a discount. UVI students, staff and faculty with proper I.D. will be admitted free, however, pre-registration is required.
Your personal finances impact your business finances especially when you are exploring the options of starting a business from the ground up or buying an existing business or a franchise. Learning and understanding how credit works will help you be prepared for starting a business, growing a business as well as preparing for retirement. Personal credit, money management and getting out of debt (staying out of debt) are all related.
Master the basics and begin the journey to creating wealth. Be proactive instead of reactive. Attend these seminars to learn some of the basics, to refresh your knowledge and pick up some helpful tips starting with personal credit.
