Legislative Body or Social Club?

Dear Source:
Are we to conclude from Tom Bolt's letter that the absence of a single endorsement by a member of the recently elected 27th Legislature should serve as some sort of influence in choosing which gubernatorial candidate to cast a vote for? Are we to understand that Atty Bolt does an excellent job in front of certain judges and not in front of others? Would Atty. Bolt's acceptance of a retainer be contingent upon the case being assigned to a certain judge? The people of the Virgin Islands elected fifteen persons to pass laws that are in the best interest of the people of the Virgin Islands.
NOT ONE senatorial candidate advised me that I electing them to a fraternity or some other form of social club? Had I known that their loyalty was to the formation of a social club, and not to improving the lives of the territory's residents, I surely would not have voted for ANY senatorial candidates. How many of us co-workers that we don't necessarily care for?
Would you, Atty. Bolt, accept subpar performance from an employee of yours based on the premises that they're forced to work with co-workers they don't like? I'm sure your answer is no. If it's an unacceptable excuse to you, it should also be unacceptable to the people of the Virgin Islands. Anyone that knows you, knows how much of an opportunist you are. Otherwise, I would be shocked to see a man of your stature linked to such a mediocre letter. If the 27th Legislature would hamper the passage of legislation, benefiting the people of the Virgin Islands, simply because the governor was not the candidate they endorsed, don't you agree that the Legislature would be party no doing their job? This "boys' club" mentality is one of the root causes of the deterioration of the Virgin Islands. If there is anything that should be taken away from all these endorsements is that under a Mapp/Liburd administration there'll be more "checks and balances", since Sen White won't have in place the complete club roster he desires. As a matter of fact, just as his "concensus majority" in the 26th Legislature fell apart, his 10 member 27th Legislature majority is already beginning to tear at the seams.
WHat does it say for the credibility of these endorsers when not one of them made a public endorsement before securing their seat in the 27th Legislature? Where were all these endorsements prior to Nov 7th? For checks and balances, don't allow the 27th Legislature to sit in its comfort zone, VOTE #2 Mapp/Liburd. The future IS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
