Nov. 20, 2006 — The Crucian Christmas Festival (CCF) Organization has announced three upcoming events: the Festival kickoff, the Prince, Princess and Duchess Pageant and the Miss St. Croix Pageant.
"Celebrating our Heritage With a Cultural Blend for Festival 2006-2007" is the theme for the 54th year of Crucian Festivals. The committee announced the first activities of the season in a news release issued Monday.
— Saturday, Dec. 3, 2006: The Festival opens with a grand kickoff at the Christian Shan Hendricks Market in Christiansted. The celebration begins at 7 p.m. with music by the Heart-Attack Band. All vendors are invited.
— Sunday, Dec. 4, 2006: The Prince, Princess and Duchess Pageant will be held at the Island Center for the Performing Arts. The pageant begins at 3 p.m. and admission is $10 and $5 for children 12 and under.
— Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006: The Miss St. Croix and Mr. St. Croix Pageants will be held at Island Center for the Performing Arts. There are four contestants competing for the title of Miss St. Croix: Juwanna Goodwin, Edrinay White, Melba Moore and Yaida Bermudez. There are three contestants competing for the title of Mr. St. Croix: John Williams, Julio Petersen III and Sonny Ortiz. Tickets outlets are pending.
