Representation: A Moot Point

Dear Source:
Though Mr. Devine and Mr. Titus make good points, there is belief that the Legislature offers NO representation, other than, it represents itself and not the people of the Virgin Islands. The proof for this is their recent "decisions" and "last minute" votes on act 6905, Sirenusa, and allowing the catastrophe at Havensight and Crown Bay to happen in the first place. I understand that the latter was brought about by the 23rd, 24th, 25th and 26th legislature, but there is continuity here. And the next time I hear the legislature talk about what they are doing for education, as they have for god knows how many legislatures, let them be reminded by all of us, for what they have not done. These are not decisions that bode well for the people of the Virgin Islands.
My letter to this paper needs no justification for changing the ranks of this legislature from fifteen Senators to five. Given their past history, the amount of money saved is justification enough. Please tell me what they do as fifteen that five cannot do???
