Arrest Made in June 1 Shooting of Kirwan Terrace Man

June 14, 2007 — Bail has been set at $1 million for 18-year-old Akeem Corrapse, a St. Thomas man arrested and charged Thursday with gunning down 18-year-old Pauliano Remy earlier this month.
Corrapse, a resident of Annas Retreat, was picked up after a witness positively identified him as the shooter, according to a recent Police news release.
Initial reports about the shooting in a June 1 Police news release contained little details about the circumstances surrounding Remy's death. While the release said Remy died of a single gunshot wound, Police were not able to obtain specific information on the time and location of the incident that resulted in his death (See "Third Killing in Three Weeks Takes Kirwan Terrace Teenager.”)
In addition to first-degree murder, other charges against Corrapse include first-degree assault, use of an unlicensed firearm during the commission of a violent crime and unauthorized possession of ammunition.
