Botanical Garden Will Be Open on Labor Day

Sept. 1, 2007 – St. George Village Botanical Garden will be open on Labor Day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, Sept. 3.
"We're open every day of the year except Christmas," said Administrative Director Lesley Hoffman. "The Garden wants to make it as easy as possible for residents and visitors to come and enjoy our beautiful 16 acres."
The Museum Store is open during the summer months from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. It, too, will be open on Labor Day.
Every Sunday, the Garden has a special half-price admission fee for residents of the Virgin Islands, and free for accompanying children. "Too many people who live here have never visited the Garden, except perhaps to come to a wedding reception," Hoffman said. "Some tell us that they were not aware of how extensive the grounds are and how many wonderful plant collections we have. This is a real treasure and we want to share it with everyone who comes to St. Croix."
