Cyril E. King Airport Road Repairs Suspended

Jan. 2008 – The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority has suspended the final repair work to the airport intersection due to the closure of the asphalt plant during the holiday season. Once the asphalt plant reopens on Jan. 7, work will resume to complete the final phase of the repair work to the roadway leading to Cyril E. King Airport, according to a press release from VIWMA. The executive director expresses her deepest apologies and sincere regret for the continuing road closures, inconvenient traffic interruptions, untimely public notices, poor site conditions and lengthy project completion schedule.
Motorists are reminded to reduce vehicular speed when entering the area.
