Jan. 2, 2008 – Nathaniel E. Hewitt Sr. of Estate Rattan died on Monday, Dec. 24, at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital.
He is survived by his daughters: Amabel Hewitt Compton and Petra Hewitt; sons: Nathaniel E. Hewitt Jr. and Aubrey Hewitt; special daughter, Julia Stokes; grandchildren: Nathaniel Hewitt III, Michelle Hewitt-Smith, Reynaldo Hewitt-Noel, Priscilla Hewitt-Noel, Yancey A. Sloane, Christopher E., Sean, Salem, Patricia, Rayna and Patah Hewitt, Denise Chaplin, and Keith, Kel and Krystel Compton; and 7 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters: Leola Hewitt Malone, Gresilda Hewitt Pender, Priscilla Hewitt Malone; Albertha Akins, Vashti Hewitt Mapp, Almira Hewitt Harris and Janest Hewitt Schrader; brothers: Abraham and Albert Hewitt; special friends: Delta Dorsh and Helen Joseph Francis; and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The funeral service will take place at 10 a.m., on Monday, Jan. 7, at Bethel A.M.E. Church. Interment follows at the family plot in Rattan.
