MLK Peace Picnic Postponed

Jan. 21, 2008 – The Martin Luther King Day Picnic for Peace, sponsored by the St. John Community Crisis Center and scheduled for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, has been postponed to a date to be determined.
Rainy weather is the reason.
"The field is a big muddy mess," organizer Zarah Rose said at 8 a.m. Monday.
The organization planned to hold the Picnic for Peace at the V.I. National Park Ballfield, located adjacent to the park's Visitor's Center.
Rose said the Community Crisis Center hasn't yet set a new date for the event, but plans to hold it on a weekend in the near future.
