AVIP to Host First of Two ADHD Workshops

Feb. 7, 2008 – The Association of Virgin Islands Psychologists will host a Continuing Education Workshop on "Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder: Current Trends in Diagnosis and Treatment." It will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Tuesday, Feb. 19, at the Schneider Regional Medical Center's Kimelman Auditorium. Alan Graham, Ph.D., will be the main speaker at the seminar, which is designed for professionals working with adults and children in the mental health field, according to a press release from the AVIP.
Graham is a recognized leader in the assessment, counseling, and coaching of children and adults with ADHD, and one of the first clinicians to use innovative computer-based technology in promoting sustained attention and task focus with children and adolescents.
Pre-registration fees for AVIP members and RLS Medical Center staff is $50. The fee for full-time students is $25, and for all others, $65. Attendance is limited, so participants should sign up early to avoid the additional $10 registration fee at the door. A continental breakfast and lunch are included.
