Alert: WAPA Trimming Trees, Asking Motorists to Pay Attention

Feb. 21, 2007 – The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority is advising the St. Thomas motoring public that tree trimming crews will be clearing distribution lines in several areas on Friday to improve service reliability. According to a release from the authority, crews will be working from the top of Raphune Hill down towards Estate Thomas from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. crews will be working in the Hospital Gade area from the traffic light adjacent to Zora’s to the J. Antonio Jarvis School. No electrical service interruptions are anticipated.
