Author to Sign Book on the Secret to Being Irresistible

March 5, 2008 – We all know them – the sirens – the women who light up a room the moment they walk in, draw everyone's attention like a magnet, have men hanging on their every word. What we want to know is their secret. Now we can; it will be revealed by author and long-time siren Ellen White as she presents her new book, "Simply Irresistible: Unleash Your Inner Siren and Mesmerize Any Man With Help From the Most Famous and Infamous Women in History," from 4-7 p.m., on Saturday, March 15, at Undercover Books & Gifts in Gallows Bay, according to a press release from Undercover Books.
The book takes the reader on a thoroughly entertaining roller-coaster ride charting the course of seductresses through the ages. Learn about the siren powers of women as diverse as Angelina Jolie, Cleopatra, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Greta Garbo, Camilla Parker Bowles and Catherine the Great.
White examines each of these famous sirens and divulges their secrets, distilling their methods into techniques that the modern woman can use. How did Marilyn Monroe inspire such sexual frenzy? Why did King Edward give up the British throne for the plain-Jane Duchess of Windsor Wallis Simpson? What makes Angelina Jolie the contemporary ideal of a sexy soul mate?
Simply Irresistible teaches that there is a unique siren within each of us; we just need to know how to find her and coax her out of hiding. "Deep down, we all have the power to attract, to strut, crow, spread our feathers and bring men shuddering to their knees," White writes.
