Yacht Haven Grande Has New General Manager

March 5, 2008 — Bob Perry has been appointed general manager for Yacht Haven Grande St. Thomas, according to a release from Island Global Yachting (IGY), parent company for the local marina and retail center.
Perry comes to the job with over 20 years property management experience. Most recently, he served as general manager for the Riverchase Galleria in Alabama, a mall with over 200 retail outlets, 250,000 square feet of office space and a four-diamond, 330-room hotel with restaurant and banquet facilities. Other previous tenures include positions with the Discover Mills Shopping Center in Georgia, Kramont Realty Trust in Pennsylvania, and Colonial Properties Trust in Alabama.
Perry received Bachelor Degrees from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, and holds an MBA from Abilene Christian University also in Dallas. He is distinguished as a Senior Certified Shopping Center Manager and Certified Shopping Center Manager from the International Council of Shopping Centers.
“We are excited to welcome Bob Perry to Yacht Haven Grande,” said Charles Garner, president of IGY. “His vast experience with multifaceted retail facilities, along with his proven record of success and growth, will enhance the experience for St. Thomas visitors and local residents as they visit the finest shopping and yachting destination in the Caribbean.”
With over 40 shops and restaurants, Yacht Haven Grande’s 120,000 square foot retail village features leading designers and luxury boutiques along with top names and island favorites including Louis Vuitton, Bulgari, Gucci, Diamonds International and Coach. Nestled alongside the scenic Charlotte Amalie Harbor on St. Thomas, the complex is part of a $160 million development that includes a 48-slip megayacht marina.
