Yankees Outhit Suns Five to Three, But Lose 7-2

March 6, 2008 — In the one game on tap Wednesday night in the Elmo Plaskett Little League East at D.C. Canegata ballpark, the Suns were outhit by the Yankees, five to three, but came out on top by a score of 7-2. Four errors proved to be too much for the Yankees to overcome and they went down in defeat.
It was the Suns with seven runs on three hits with two errors, while the Yankees had two runs on five hits and they committed four errors. D’john Hardy picked up the win on the mound for the suns while Reuben James got the loss for the Yankees. Top hitters for the Suns were Devante Brooks, 1 for 1 with one RBI and Hardy, 1 for 2 with one RBI. For the Yankees Lakish Plante was 2 for 3 with one RBI and Kahleem Knight was 1 for 2 with one RBI.
The action continues Friday night with two scheduled games. In game one, starting at 5:30 p.m., the Lil Angels will take on the Reds. In the nightcap at 7:30 p.m., the Angels will go up against the Dodgers.
