March 10, 2008 – Emilie Louise Gabrielle Macon, also known as "Mama George," of Sapphire Club and Restaurant; Vieux-Fort, St. Lucia; and Estate La Grange, Frederiksted, died on Tuesday, March 4, at her residence. She was 89 years old.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Cynthia Canaii; step grandson, Alvin Canaii; great-grandchildren: Krystle, Kayme, Keya, Keyva and Keyan Canaii; and friends: Wilson, Augustin, the Armstrong family, Julie Francis Noel and family; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held from 9:30-10 a.m., on Tuesday, March 11, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., at the church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
