Benjamin Mingo Dies at 88

April 2, 2008 – Benjamin Mingo, also known as "Uncle Ben," of Joseph James Terrace died on Saturday, March 29, at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital. He was 88 years old.
He is survived by his daughters: Lorayne Cox, Janette Mingo and Sheryl Brow; stepdaughters: Ivorene W. David and Claudette Williams; sons: Warren Mingo and Reudell Mingo; and stepsons: Darryl Williams and Melbourne Williams. He is also survived by grandchildren: Barbara, Terrance, Germaine, Marvin, Triffany, Jamaal, Javon and Deshawn Mingo, Kevin Gittens, Rodney and Dana Cox, Richard Cox Jr., Keiva and Kimerlyn Andrews, Anderia LaFond, Neysa Herbert, Kevin and Marvin Brow Jr., and Ruedell Mingo Jr.; 20 great-grandchildren; special friends: Victor Somme Sr., Joseph Liburd, Emilda Hughes, Mercedes Mallone and Ann John, as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing from 10-11 a.m., on Friday, April 11, at St. John's Episcopal Church followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., at the church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
