Territory-Wide Commercial Fisherman Registration Will Be Conducted

June 19, 2008 – Commercial fishermen registration will be conducted on St. Croix and St. Thomas, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Monday through Friday, July 7-11, at the Division of Environmental Enforcement. Registrations will also be conducted on St. John, Tuesday, July 15, at the Division of Permits at Market Place, according to a press release from the Department of Planning and Natural Resources.
Commercial fishermen registered during the 2007-2008 fishing year must have all catch records submitted to be eligible for a new fishing permit. After July 11, registration will be conducted at the Division of Fish and Wildlife.

Additionally, boating registration will take place on St. John from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., every Tuesday and Thursday, June 17 to July 17, at the DPNR Office (next to Julius Sprauve School Industrial Arts classroom).
